DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CTB STB PLOT STYLES
Named Plot Styles Introduction As part of AutoCAD ‘s revolution in plotting, named plot styles provide an alternative method to setup drawings for presentation. Named plot styles are assigned to a drawing. You would be moving toward simplification of plotting options. One drawing may not mix and match these file types. You use none of these plot styles. To make edits to your pen settings, select one or more colors in the Plot Styles list, then make changes to one of the settings on the right hand side. We can script out the plot sets differennce to some lisp we picked up in the Lisp Forum and apply the Named plot style dependant on the folder name.

OwenW September 28th, at 6: Plot styles, like colors and linetypes, are much easier to manage and standardize if they are controlled through the layer atyles box, and the object properties are left “By Layer”.
If the color of betewen layer changed, all objects on that layer would also change color, assuming that the objects were still colored “By Layer”.
LDDT users always use template drawings when creating files. When creating a template drawing from scratch, make sure the correct plot style type is assigned to it. Remember that plot styles are assigned per drawing, so don’t be afraid to use different styles for different projects! We got a drawing from a client where they use stb file to plot with. However, the plot style tables are saved as proxy information, so if this drawing is difderence into AutoCAD again, the plot style table initially used would be saved for plotting in AutoCAD again.
Of course, this meant that the layer standards of a company were developed mainly with respect to plotting objects in a black-and-white environment to a particular lineweight.
Changing Plot Style Table Types
